Czech-ing out Prague

The weather here has been terrible. Yesterday was in the 40’s, very windy, and LOTS of rain, but we didn’t let that stop us!
We were out the door around 9am and didn’t get back to our hotel room until about 7pm.
We had a beautiful city to see!

We started the day off at a local bakery, Paul, to get some breakfast.  We all got quiche and yogurt. It was delicious.
It was raining so hard so we wanted to do something inside before getting drenched.  We went to the National Museum. It was neat. Very small, but neat.

The first floor was kind of lame, typical museum stuff, but the second floor was neat. It was all about the life of children growing up in Czech Republic.  Basically their lives were terrible from start to finish.  It was depressing, but interesting.

Well that was sad, so here’s a picture of Pearl riding a huge rocking horse and sitting at a huge desk:

Ok we avoided the rain for as long as we could, time to zip up our rain jackets and go for it.
This city is just too beautiful.  I highly recommend visiting Prague if you ever get the opportunity.

We went down to the Vltava River because they had about 50 swans running around….and Pearl loves anything she can chase.

I am pretty enthralled by all things Jewish.  Why?  I have no idea.
So when I found out “the most beautiful synagogue in Europe”, is in Prague, I’m like….dude we have to go.

During WWII the Germans used this building for storage of things taken from the Jews.  It has since been restored.  There were so many people wearing yarmulkes and speaking Yiddish, it was awesome.

And here’s a picture of Pearl trying to put a bow in Seth’s hair:
